The FNS makes information more accessible through “Easy-to-Read”

The National Solidarity Fund (FNS) is strengthening its commitment to accessibility and closer communication with its clients. To make the information published on the websites fns.lu and guichet.lu easier to understand, the FNS is gradually adapting its texts.

Specifically, information related to certain social benefits will now be presented in an “Easy-to-Read” format. This approach aims to simplify content by using short sentences and clear wording, while maintaining the accuracy of the information.

The Easy-to-Read texts will be available in French, German and English (end of the year), in order to meet the needs of a broad and diverse audience.

The benefits concerned by this initiative are:

• Social Inclusion Income;
• Allowance for the Severly Disabled;
• Cost-of-Living Benefit;
• Supplement for Seniors ;
• Child-raising Pension ;
• Advance and Recovery of Maintenance Payments.

With this initiative, the FNS continues to pursue its objective of providing simpler, more inclusive and more transparent access to social information.
