Supplement for seniors

The supplement is intended to help elderly people whose personal resources are insufficient to pay for accommodation and services in:

• an approved residential care home for elderly people, or
• approved supported accommodation.

The supplement covers:

• the cost of accommodation,
• the maintenance and supply of flat linen (sheets, towels, gloves),
• the washing and marking of private linen (except dry cleaning),
• basic hygiene products (body, hair, face, hands, teeth, ears, nails),
• a television, telephone and internet connection with basic subscriptions.
